Reminder – 2019 Shellabration in Greenport

The 2019 Shellabration returns to Greenport on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8 from noon to 4pm.

Participating restaurants offer reduced price shellfish small-plates and drinks during the two-day event. A limited number of tickets will be sold for the 8th Annual 2019 Shellabration.

Here is how the 2019 Shellabration in Greenport works: Buy a wristband and get a free glass of Harbor Ale and a SPAT sponsored raw bar tasting of clams and oysters at the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company (234 Carpenter St.) or at Little Creek Oyster Company (37 Front St.). At these sites, participants will receive a tour map pinpointing the participating restaurants offering $5 small plates and $3 pours of local wine and beer. Some Village shops will also offer special deals for those with wristbands.

The annual Greenport Shellabration, a fundraiser for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County Marine Program has become one of the North Fork’s most popular off-season events. But, wristbands go fast so visit the CCE website for information on how you can join the fun.

Shellabration allows you to enjoy pairings at many restaurants in Greenport and local vineyards and breweries. And, proceeds from the sales of wristbands will directly support Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Marine Program- Back to the Bays Initiative and the Southold Project in Aquaculture Training (SPAT).
