Big Changes at North Fork Wineries in 2021
Posted On 03/25/2021
We are seeing lots of changes in 2021 as some North Fork wineries change hands. Take a look at our rundown:
Laurel Lake Vineyards will soon be re-named Ev&Em under new ownership of Dan Abrams. A legal corespondent for ABC News, Abrams purchased the 41-acre Main Road property in 2020.
Several other North Fork wineries and vineyards have changed hands or are listed for sale including Bedell Cellars, Vineyard 48 and a portion of Castello di Borghese.
In 2019, Peconic Bay Winery in Cutchogue sold to the Soloviev family, who have purchased hundreds of North Forks acres in recent years. The 55-acre Main Road winery has been closed for several years.
Also, the Goodale family of Riverhead has purchased Dilberto Winery in Jamesport for a reported $3 million. Under previous ownership, the winery was popular for its ‘Sundays With Grandma’ Italian dinners. The Manor Lane tasting room, with two acres of vines, will soon reopen as TerraVite.
In other news, Paumanok Vineyards in Aquebogue earned its third Winery of the Year nod at the 2021 New York Wine Classic. Paumanok Vineyards is owned and managed by the Massoud family.
