Greenport Harbor Brewing Hosts Chili Cook-Off

Greenport Harbor Brewing will host its 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, January 27 from 12pm-4pm.

Local restaurants and chefs compete with one rule – they must use a Greenport Harbor beer in the recipe.

Admission tickets to the North Fork Chili Cook-Off will only be sold online. So, act fast if you want to stop by and test-taste. The cost per ticket is $15 and includes entry and chili-tasting. https://greenportharborbrewing.com/special-events/

This year’s contestants so far are 1943 Pizza, American Beech, Ammirati’s, Crazy Beans, Green Hill Kitchen, Industry Standard, Love Lane Kitchen, Jennie’s at Drossos, Grace and Grit. Plus, one other player to be named later.

Judges for the contest are Claudia Fleming, James Beard award-winning pastry chef and owner of North Fork and Table; Cheryl Stair chef and owner of Art of Eating catering; Taylor Knapp, Chef at PawPaw pop-up and founder of Peconic Escargot; and Ian Wile, owner of Little Creek Oysters.

Get your tickets soon because last year’s inaugural event sold out quickly as hundreds joined in the fun. Greenport’s Little Creek Oyster’s Ian Wile took home first place. American Beech grabbed second place and Crazy Beans won third.
