With just three weeks until Memorial Day Weekend, the Greenport restaurant scene is heating up. So, here is another Greenport Grub posting to keep you updated on the local food scene, happy hours and live music.
At First and South, look for live music on Tuesdays from 6-9pm and on the first Friday of each month. Plus, loads of happy hour and food specials. Get ready for those amazing weekly pig roasts starting in June. We cant wait. Oh, and stop in and see Kara Hoblin’s newest chalkboard art sensation.
Kate’s Cheese Co has partnered with The Glory – book a harbor cruise and enjoy wine and cheese from Kate’s. Stop into Kate’s for more details.
Porto Bello on Stirling Harbor has re-opened for the season. Check out their $16.95 Thursday night burger and beer deal.
While Claudio’s main restaurant is still under renovation with plans for a Memorial Day weekend opening, Crabby Jerry’s is open for lunch and dinner.
Ellen’s on Front, in the former Salamander’s space is poised to open for the season very soon. The new owners, Jennie and Andrew Werts, also run Jennie’s at Drossos.
Vines & Branches has opened in their new space on Front Street near the Main Street intersection. The new shop will still carry the same wonderful olive oils and balsamic vinegar plus more.
Green Hill Kitchen at the corner of First and Front received their formal approval from the Village for live music upstairs this summer. The approval is temporary and will be revisited this autumn. For more on their music line-up, check out our live music calendar.
And, the folks at Green Hill Kitchen will soon open Anker, a new seafood restaurant, in the former Deep Water Bar and Grille space on Front Street.
Lucharito’s and Greenport Harbor Brewing have collaborated on Lucha Lager. Stop in to the Main Street restaurant and try a glass with some great tacos.
