The Greenport Winter Farmers Market debuted Saturday, November 17 as the first indoor farmers/artisans market in the Village.
The market is an extension of the Greenport Farmers Market held from June to October on Moore’s Lane, and previously on South Street. Nearly twenty vendors participated in the Grand Opening weekend selling seafood, produce, wine and specialty products.
Hours of operation are Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 1pm at 414 First Street in the building known locally as the ‘ice house’ and that formerly housed a second-hand decor and furnishings store.
Vendors include Alice’s Fish Market, Catapano Farm, Surrey Lane Vineyard Orchard Farm, Sannino Wine, Chef Giovanni, NoFo Donut Company, Wake and Bake handmade baked goods, Simply Nicki nuts and butters, North Fork Specialty Kitchen, A Taste of the North Fork, Horman’s Best Pickles, Talk Treats to Me pet treats, Modern Primal Soap, Yennicott Oysters, Tilth and Smoke, Treiber Farm, Suhru Wine, Greenport Jerky and King Andrew Cheese. Also, Don Garside provided live music and the North Fork Animal Welfare league was on hand with dogs and kittens available for adoption.
