Claudia Fleming’s ‘The Last Course’

A new edition of Claudia Fleming’s The Last Course, The Desserts of Gramercy Tavern is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
The heralded pastry recipe book, by award-winning pastry chef Claudia Fleming of North Fork Table and author Melissa Clark, includes 175 recipes. The first edition, published in 2001 by Random House, has been out-of-print for several years. (Rare editions available online can go for as much as $200.) But, Random House is re-releasing a glossy new edition cookbook next month.
Claudia worked as a party chef at at Gramercy Tavern – where she earned a James Beard Award in 2000 – before opening the North Fork Table and Inn in Southold with late husband Gerry Hayden in 2006.
The hardcover version of Claudia Fleming’s The Last Course is listed on Amazon for $36. The Last Course is also available as a Kindle option. North Fork resident and chef Tom Colicchio wrote the forward for the book. And, Bon Appétit called it the “the greatest dessert book in the history of the world.”
