One of the questions we frequently field here at North Fork & Knife is about North Fork breakfast options for a sit-down and full-serve breakfast as an alternative to a deli or bagel shop. Here are a few we like.
In Greenport Village, there are often lines forming outside Crazy Beans, especially on weekend mornings – last week more than 30 people waited outside for a table. Crazy Beans opens at 7am. Likewise, Bruce & Son across Main Street is very popular for breakfast (8am-2:30pm)
Hellenic on Main Road in East Marion serves breakfast each day starting at 8am. (see menu below) The Wagyu Kobe corned beef hash with German potatoes….terrific.
Jeni’s Main Street Bisto, across from Port of Egypt, serves breakfast daily from 7am-3pm. (This is the same Jeni’s that was previously located in the heart of Southold – then called Jeni’s Main Street Grill)
Country Corner Cafe, also in Southold, has a full breakfast menu served all day.
Over on Love Lane in Mattituck, Love Lane Kitchen opens at 7am weekdays and 8am on weekends. Breakfast is served until 2pm daily. (For an earlier breakfast Ammirati’s across the street opens at 5am weekdays and 6am on weekends.)
In Jamesport, Main Road Biscuit Co offers breakfast daily all day. (closed Wednesdays) The homemade biscuits are something else!
And, as a side not – if you are in Greenport Village without transportation and facing a long wait at the fantastic Crazy Beans or Bruce & Son, keep in mind that there are options for order-at-the-counter breakfasts within walking distance. The Market on Front Street has breakfast starting at 9am. And, at Sterlington Deli on Third Street, you can eat-in or take it with you to the park.
